South Lake Tahoe

Eric and I met some friends up at Tahoe for the weekend! It was so beautiful up there and it was fun to enjoy it with old friends! The first day we went on a few hikes. First we went to Cascade Falls and Lake.

We then hiked to Eagle Falls and Lake. Eric and I were crazy enough to get in the freezing water. But I needed a cool down after the hike and I had to go to the bathroom!

The next day we went on a bike ride in the morning, enjoyed the crystal blue lake a bit and then headed over to Tahoe City for dinner. This is the only picture I got of the day, because my camera died. But it definitely shows of how beautiful the lake was! Thanks Jorge and Monica for such a great time! We definitely have to do Yosemite next year!

Rocco in Sacramento

Oh my goodness, Rocco had a blast while we were in Sacramento. Every day he played outside on the grass, played in his baby pool and played with the hose. He was in Heaven! He loves the water and spent hours outside in his pool. He would put his head all the way under to get his toys and he would eat the water while we would be filing the pool up! He was hilarious to watch! One day, Rocco had a play date with another bully named Gus. Gus is only 9 weeks old and quite a bit smaller than Rocco, but that didn't seem to stop either one of them from playing with each other. Gus is actually from the same breeder and Rocco is sort of a half-Uncle to Gus (Rocco's Dad is Gus' Grandpa, but they don't share common maternal sides). Here are some pic's of the event:

Here is a short video of Rocco in the water and then one of him playing with Gus: One last little story on Rocco - he almost drowned in the river while we were in Sacramento and Eric had to go in after him with his clothes on. For those who don't know much about bullies they normally don't swim, they just sink. But Rocco is not exactly the "normal" bulldog and he loves the water and swims pretty good... well, so we thought. We were not yet to the beach and he was hot - so, we let him get in on the side of the river where it drops off pretty quick. Of course, he headed straight out and kept going further. Meanwhile, we were screaming at him to come back. He finally decided to turn around, but by that time he was getting tired and he started to panic. Eric got to him when only his little head was sticking up - ten more seconds and he would have been under. You would think this would scare him, but oh no, he tried to go right back out minutes later! I don't know what I would do without this cute little boy around!

Sacramento

With Eric off school, I saved up all my vacation time so I could have almost the whole month off with him. The first stop on our month of vacation was Sacamento. We spent almost a week there just hanging out with my parents and doing fun stuff in the area. We went minature golfing at Sun Splash - Eric and my Dad kicked our butts!

We also took a spin on the racetrack in their fast cars!

One night we went to the Rivercats Baseball Game. We stretched out on a blanket on the grass and enjoyed the delta breezes(if you are from Sacramento you learn to love this breeze on Summer nights!).

We then went and got dessert at Rick's Dessert Diner in downtown Sacramento. My sister found this little gem - they have so many yummy desserts to choose from! I picked white cake with whipped cream frosting and rasberry preserves. It was delicious! One day we also went kayaking in Lake Natoma. It was beautiful, but the water was a little cold!

Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great time!

Hooray! We are "3rd Years!"

A few weeks ago Eric finished his second year of dental school. When his break is over, he will start his third and FINAL year of dental school. Lucky for us, Eric goes to the only three year dental school(this is because it goes year around). I can't believe we only have one more year in San Francisco. It is definitely bitter sweet!
To celebrate Eric finishing another year of dental school, we went and had a yummy dinner at Sauce with some friends. It serves classic American dishes with a twist. Although we got dessert(we shared!), we still went and got ice cream after at Mitchell's. For those of you who have not had their ice cream yet, you are missing out. They put Ghiradelli's to shame!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Fathers out there, but especially to my Dad! You are the best! I can't imagine having any other Daddy!
And I can't forget about my fabulous Father-in-law. You are such a great Dad, even when you didn't have to be. I can't imagine where Eric would be in this life without you in it - And for that I am forever grateful!

Golden Gate Triathlon

The boys right before the raceEric finally got to complete a sprint triathlon this past weekend. Luckily, the swim did not get cancelled this time. And...I didn't have to work so, I got to go out and support him. Eric swam in the bay down at Chrissy Field, then biked along Lincoln blvd right by our house and finally, ran to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. It was really fun to watch. I am so proud of you, Eric! I really envy people who can do this sort of stuff - I am definitely not cut out for it!
