Grand Targhee Ski Trip

Every year, we make our way up to Wyoming for a ski trip with Eric's family. We ski (or snowboard in my case), eat lots of yummy food and stay up way to late visiting with everyone! It was fun to take Logan this year; he could appreciate/enjoy all of the snow a little more!We always eat dinner one night at the Yurt, where we take a horse sleigh ride to the dinner. Logan, once again, was scared of the horses! We even took Logan out on the bunny hill to introduce skiing to him. He liked putting the skis on, but wasn't so sure about going down the hill with Dad. He sort of whined on and off, but there were moments you could tell he liked it too!On our way home we stopped at Jackson Hole for the day. We shopped and ate (way too much!) and walked around the town. Our main reason for stopping in Jackson Hole was to eat at the Blue Lion. I have been hearing for years from Eric's family how good the lamb is at this restaurant. Well, I can finally attest that it really is to die for! My mouth starts watering just thinking about it! If you are ever in Jackson Hole, you have to eat here and you have to order the lamb!!!

It's Official...

On February 3rd, 2011 Logan climbed out of his crib for the first time. I was wondering how long it would take my crazy boy to figure this out. I heard him crying this morning. Then he was quiet; 30 minutes later I heard a lot of ruckus from his room. I went in to see what was going on and I was greeted at the door by my lil' munchkin. I am not sure how he did it or if he will be doing it all the time now. I guess we will see - does that mean it is time for a big boy bed? I am not sure I am ready for that yet!

Sacramento in January

A few weeks back Logan and I went to San Francisco for a lil' visit with the family. My brother and his family were able to come for the weekend, as well. Logan and Berkeley had a lot of fun together...But they still fought for Grammy and Aunty's attention...We took the rug rats to the Folsom Zoo one day...And I am sorry to say Logan was scared of almost every single animal! He did like the train ride afterward and was upset when he couldn't ride it again! We also went to the City one day. The fog rolled in right when we arrived, but oh how I love me some San Francisco. First up, chicken chow mien from Dragonwell; then a visit to Baker Beach. Logan wasn't so sure at first - he took some reassuring...But then he discovered the sand, and he was in heaven!Berkeley, on the other hand, loved the beach right away...We also went to Pier 39, just so the kiddos could see the sea lions (for anyone who has lived in the city, you know how we mostly avoid this touristy spot!)We rounded our trip to the city off with a little bit of Nick's Crispy Tacos, Yummy!

Thanks to everyone for the great visit to Sac Town! Until next time...
