A good summer day...

Eric had the whole day off. We went and redeemed our season passes to Elitch Gardens. We hung out at the water park all morning.

We finished it all off with a little lunch at Cafe Rio. Love it! I can't wait for more summer days just like this one!

Santa Cruz, 2011

We went to Santa Cruz again this year, for our annual camping trip over Memorial Weekend. This year, the whole family was able to be there. Logan and Berkeley sure loved playing outside all the time, but they weren't as sure about the darkness at night and sleeping in a tent! I mostly just got pictures of the kiddos, but pretty much everything we did revolved around them anyways. We went to the beach a couple of the days and enjoyed some sunny weather...

I have been going to Santa Cruz almost every year since 7th grade. I started going with these girls every year and now we all bring our own families...

We also went to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk one night to take the kids on all the rides.

First up was the carousel. Berkeley was fine with it at first, but then quickly changed her mind...

Logan on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the ride (hence, having to sit in the carriage and not on a horse), but was fine once the ride started going...

Next up was the cave train ride...

We then took the kids on the Pepsi trucks...

Lastly, we took them on the dragon ride. Berkeley was a bit frightened, but Logan loved it. He is such a thrill seeker; he loved going up and down!

Other moments enjoyed at Santa Cruz were Pizza My Heart, campfires, many trips to the Oneil Sale, Kung Fu Panda 2, Maryanne's icecream, and shopping in Capitola. We had so much fun and can't wait until next year!
